Weston Brown Training Solutions was established in 2019, following an increase in demand for training to educate workforces on the effects of drug and alcohol misuse. With years of delivering drug and alcohol diversion training to service users, we recognised there was also a need to inform organisations of the effects of substance misuse. We have worked with organisations who come into direct contact with substance users and those who want their staff to have an overview of the effects.
We have trained for many years in delivering Restorative Justice Awareness and Practitioner courses in collaboration with other training providers, but have now expanded our service to offer Restorative Practices training. This not only gives attendees skills to engage in Restorative Justice interventions within the criminal justice system, between victims and offenders, but we can now also offer bespoke training to train staff to deal with conflict in the workplace, neighbour disputes and bullying. We also provide consultancy services for those who want to become a restorative organisation; we can help develop, implement and assess this.
Wellbeing and Mental Health are extremely important, happy staff are more productive. These courses are delivered by Mental Health First Aid Trained staff who have experience working with individuals with Mental Health needs.
All trainers have at least a Level 3 Award in Education and Training. We all have experience of working with service users directly so understand their needs and barriers, which has contributed to the development of our courses.
We have worked with a number of different organisations, including Police Services, Prisons, Schools, Universities, Local Councils and other Private Sector Companies.
We believe in a complete approach and will work closely with you to not only deliver training but help with the development and implementation of any of the services we deliver. We have implemented Restorative Practices in a number of different settings working to the organisational needs. We are honest in our approach, sharing best practices as well as lessons learnt.
We can also provide ongoing support and refresher training.
